Mental Health Online Workshops
Suicide Prevention: Understanding Risk, Building Safety
📅 Wednesday, February 4 | 6:30–8:00 PM
with Risha Dave, Certified Trauma Integration Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor

Whether you are supporting someone else or simply want to better understand how to show up with care, this webinar offers practical knowledge, reflection, and hope.

Participants will explore how to recognize common warning signs and changes to pay attention to, how to check in and ask about safety in supportive and non-judgmental ways, and what tends to help — as well as what can unintentionally cause harm — when someone is struggling. The session also highlights the vital role that communities and relationships play in prevention, with attention to culturally responsive approaches, stigma, and barriers to help-seeking.

The Wisdom of Anger
📅 Wednesday, February 18 | 6:30–8:30 PM
with Vanessa Salvatore, Educator at Champlain College and Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapy Practitioner

Anger often moves fast — rushing in, taking over, and pulling us away from what’s actually happening in the present moment. This workshop invites participants to explore anger not as something to suppress or fear, but as an essential and informative human response.

Through guided movement, grounding breath, and Integrative Body Psychotherapy practices, participants will be invited into a fully embodied exploration of anger. Practices such as stomping, shaking, posture, and grounded presence support anger in moving through the body rather than accumulating inside, helping prevent overwhelm, resentment, and burnout.

When anger is met with awareness and presence, it can offer clarity: What feels off? What feels unjust? What truth is asking to be acknowledged? This session creates space to explore anger as a source of vitality, boundaries, and emotional resilience, releasing stored tension that can keep us small or silent.

Both workshops are free, held online via Zoom, and offered in English.
